In honor of Antoinette Perry, the woman who inspired the Tony Awards, Signature is giving away a free 2010-2011 subscription to anyone with the name "Antoinett." On June 7th, Managing Director Maggie Boland and Artistic Director and co-founder Eric Schaeffer were on stage at Radio City Music Hall to receive the 2009 Regional Theatre Tony Award® on the behalf of Signature Theatre.
Signature staff, board members, donors and friends spent the weekend celebrating the honor in both Shirlington and New York City. We want to share with you some of the highlights of this exciting time for everyone at Signature!

Signature on the "News Hour"

Signature's thrilling Tony® weekend was launched on Friday night with a story about Signature, its recent productions, and its 20th anniversary on "The News Hour With Jim Lehrer."

Tony® Parties on Saturday
On Saturday evening, the American Theatre Wing and Broadway League hosted a party at Montenapo to honor the 2009 Special Tony Award® recipients. Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer, Managing Director Maggie Boland, Board Chair Sarah Valente, and choreographer Karma Camp represented Signature at this event.

While there, the Signature team found themselves mixing with Tony® host and "How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris, screen legend Jane Fonda, and other Broadway luminaries including Martha Plimpton, Christopher Sieber, John Tartaglia, and [title of show] creator Hunter Bell.

Later in the evening... Signature hosted a Tony® party at Inc. Lounge at the Time. Signature staff and board members from the DC area, as well as NY-based actors from Signature shows partied the night away.
