An extension of Signature’s commitment to musical theater, the cabaret series provides a distinct entertainment experience. Presented in Signature’s style with a mix of traditional and cabaret-table seating, drinks and food from our full-service bar, the cabaret series creates a lively night-club atmosphere. Join the brightest artists from Washington and New York for special evenings of popular show tunes, jazz numbers and ballads intertwined with spirited storytelling and live accompaniment.

The Lost Songs of Broadway: 1960s
June 26, 2012 – June 30, 2012
The 1960s transformed musical theatre. Starting with traditional greats like Camelot, Hello Dolly! and Carnival, the 1960s concluded with Kander and Ebb’s haunting Cabaret and the anti-war flower-power anthem Hair. In the vein of last season’s The Lost Songs of Broadway: 1950s, this cabaret showcases the best songs that got away.

Five performance times are offered for your convenience: Wednesday through Friday at 8:30pm and Saturday at 7pm and 9pm. A cabaret subscription costs $120 for the four-cabaret season. Cabaret subscriptions do not include Holiday Follies.

2012/13 Cabarets
Signature sings Hollywood! After the success of last season’s Music in the Movies cabaret, we are back with Part II, singing a new collection of silver screen melodies. Expect songs from classic Fred and Ginger dance-romps to James Bond to more contemporary films.
Signature’s annual holiday celebration will feature holiday favorites – and buckets of cheer – with special guest performers to liven up the festivities. Grab the tinsel, fill your flasks with eggnog and celebrate this special time of year in grand Signature style.
Holiday Follies tickets must be purchased separately and are not included in the 4-show cabaret subscription package.
Euan Morton, Tony Award nominee and star of Signature’s Chess, is back with a new solo cabaret act. Featuring reinterpreted Broadway standards, songs from his most recent album and Euan’s signature humor, you won’t soon forget this evening!
After bringing audiences to their feet as Motormout Maybelle in last season’s smash Hairspray, Nova Y. Payton returns! Nova sings a songbook that features everything from R&B soul to Broadway. She will blow the roof off of our intimate 100 seat Theatre!
The perfect combination to Signature’s production of Company, hear songs from the 1970s Broadway musicals that didn’t fare quite so well. Revisit some incredible gems that we’ve dug out of the trunk while savoring the disco groove.
